UNITED NATIONS, April 11 (Xinhua) -- Selflessness, altruism, loyalty and trustworthiness, which are advocated in Taoism philosophy of the traditional Chinese culture, are the life doctrine for herself and her business, a Chinese woman entrepreneur said here Wednesday at the United Nations headquarters.

Ma Xiaoqiu, founder and president of Shenzhen-based Dingyifeng Group, said in her speech that Tao is the truth of dealing with people and the truth of business, but this philosophy often is neglected by many.

Taoism suggests that a man should accumulate his own wealth in a descent way, Ma said, adding that in modern words, businesspersons should uphold their ethical integrity and shoulder their corporate social responsibilities, if they want to succeed in business.

Ma, who is also the initiator and dean of the Zen Tao Business School, said the thought of the Chinese classic Tao Te Ching is the secret of her success. Established in 2011, Dingyifeng has grown into a multinational enterprise.

"Her story is really impressive in that she combines traditional Chinese wisdom into her business and makes it a great success," Fox News reporter Kelly Wright said.

Encouraged by Ma's story, Kelly said he would like to co-sponsor a cultural event with the Chinese businesswoman, to promote people-to-people exchanges between the United States and China through arts.
