COLOMBO, July 21 (Xinhua) -- Twenty-one people were injured in a head-on collision between a private bus and a state-owned Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) bus in Kegalle, Sabaragamuwa province in central Sri Lanka, on Monday morning, police said.

The accident happened around 5 a.m., according to police. The injured are receiving treatment at two regional hospitals.

Kegalle police have launched an investigation into the incident. ■
