RIYADH, July 20 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's Team Vitality claimed the title at the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Women's Invitational (MWI) at the 2025 Esports World Cup (EWC) on Saturday, sweeping Gaimin Gladiators 4-0 in the Grand Finals.
The victory marks Team Vitality's third MWI title and a historic achievement as the first team to win an international MLBB women's tournament with a perfect 100 percent win rate, not dropping a single game throughout the competition.
A total of 16 of the world's top women's MLBB teams competed for a prize pool of 500,000 U.S. dollars. Team Vitality took home 150,000 dollars as the champions. Team Vitality's Mid laner "Cinny" Cindy Siswanto was named the Grand Finals' MVP and took home an additional 10,000 dollars.
This year's MWI is the largest in the tournament's history, marking another major step for women's esports on the global stage. Expanding from 12 to 16 teams, the competition has grown not just in size but also in reach, with qualifiers held across 57 regions worldwide. ■
